Tomorrow, December 17, is Grinch Day and the Christmas Luncheon with Guests who sent an RSVP at Confidence.
Wear grinchy clothes, green, or dress as your favorite Whoville character.
Lunch details- If you prepaid and want to eat with a student in Preschool through second grade, your lunch time is 11:20-11:50. If you prepaid and want to eat with a third throigh fifth grade student, your lunch time is 12:00-12:30. If you have kids across grade levels and want to eat with one lunch period and sit with the other lunch period, you can do that as well. Again, lunch tomorrow is 11:20-11:50 for preschool through second and 12 o'clock to 12:30 for third through fifth graders. Thanks!
Bus 1405 is awaiting attention at school from mechanics coming from Winfield. This bus won't be able to leave school for approximately 30-40 minutes. Please come and pick up your children at the cafeteria entrance of the school if you can. If you can't, we will wait with them until the bus can depart the school. Nim's Island Family Night is this evening! Our doors open at 5:15. From 5:15-6:00, you can eat dinner in the cafeteria. From 6:00-7:30, you can go to the various activities around school as you wish. We can't wait to see you!

Our doors will open at 10:20 for guests attending our Veterans Day performance today. It will begin at 10:30 promptly. Hello! Please send your 5 dollars cash for the Halloween Party tomorrow if you have not paid. On Thursday, all classes will be painting pumpkins. Confidence Elementary families have been challenged by the Mayor of Hurricane Scott Edwards to collect items to help the flood victims in North Carolina. We specifically need NEW socks, toboggans, gloves, and coats for kids of all sizes. This is the Kids Helping Kids Challenge. Everything needs to be new. Please donate to us at school if you can. Dear Parents and Guardians of CES Students,
Out of an abundance of caution and at the request of local law enforcement, Confidence Elementary was placed in secure status at approximately 1:55 p.m. today due to an incident happening outside of the building and miles down the road. The secure status lasted about 15 minutes. All school operations have now returned to normal.
What is the Secure Action?
The Secure Action is called when there is a threat or hazard outside of the school building. Secure uses the security of the physical facility to act as protection. During Secure, all students and staff are brought into the secure building and all doors are locked.
Tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 5, is the first Choir Club practice after school. Students in fourth and fifth grade who are interested in joining will stay after school until 3:45. Parents, please stay in your vehicles in front of the school and Mr. Lyon and Mrs. Good will send them out to you when practice ends. Students must have a permission slip signed and turned in to be allowed to stay tomorrow. Have a great evening!

Open House is this evening at Confidence Elementary School! Our doors will open at 5:30. Drop by between 5:30-7:30 to meet the teachers, buy a yearbook (they just came in- $22 cash in correct change or check to CES), talk with bus drivers, sign up to be a volunteer, and get a snow cone as you leave!
